Environmental Enterprise Group, Inc (EEG) founded in Charleston, SC has combined workforces with Small Business Group, Inc (SBG) and is doing business as SBG-EEG.
EEG was founded in May 2000 from a group of former Charleston Naval Shipyard employees that were displaced due to the downsizing caused by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) commission. Following base closure in April 1996, a small contingent of shipyard civil service employees were assigned to Environmental Detachment Charleston (EDC) to provide environmental clean-up to allow for future re-use of the shipyard andf naval base. This duty lasted until September 1999 when the US Navy assisted South Carolina Reasearch Authority (SCRA) in privatizing the EDC as an operating division of SCRA named Environmental Enterprise Group.
EEG was a predicessor to SCRA's SC Launch program that was developed in 2006 to assist formation of small businesses in South Carolina. SCRA mentored and spun-off EEG as an incorporated small business in May 2000 with an initial group of 35 employees.
EEG's work ethic and attention to detail exhibited by all of our employees established our company as a preferred contractor to numerous clients. Our main focus has been providing services to federal government installations and select commercial customers.
In 2004, EEG became a promary teaming partner with SBG that resulted in a MACC contract award for the Naval Command in Beafort, SC. Our close relationship with SBG for five years has culminated in EEG and SBG combining forces under one company - please visit our new site at sbg-eeg.com |
